Emma in her new playroom! Her toys are taking over the house...literally! She now has a loft playarea and a separate room for her toys. The poor dogs lost their playarea to Emma's toys! This room looks a little empty now...but after her Birthday and Christmas it will surely be full! She loves the area(s) to roam freely and play :)

Emma is walking pretty well with assistance (as you can see in this picture taken at Thanksgiving).

We took this picture because Emma looked so darn cute - even though we weren't exactly sure if she matched?!?! Not sure gray shoes go with a black sweater... (BTW, that is a light up snowman ornament she was fascinated with at that moment!)

Emma went to see Santa on Thanksgiving at Bass Pro Shop. (FYI: They give you a free picture.) I didn't want to pay a ton for a Santa picture because I knew they all turn out so bad being they aren't professional. I guess this picture proves my point. The lady just couldn't wait another second until Emma's hands were down. It looks like she is being robbed! Not the best picture...but still cute.

Emma sorting through the Black Friday ads!

Emma is getting to be quite the talker! So far her understandable words are:
~Hey!
~Bye and Buh-bye!
~Car - she says cuh
~Puppy - every now and again she will say some version of it towards the dogs
~Mama
~Dada
~Buh - for book
~MMMM - I guess not really a word...but when she is hungry or wants more food she says "mmmmm" with such enthusiasm. :)
~And a whole bunch of rambling!

I am so excited for her birthday party coming up! I know it will mean a lot more to the family than Emma, as she doesn't understand the concept yet. But, to me, it's a celebration of her not only her turning one but our family becoming a strong unit and surviving all the growing pains of having a newborn and figuring out what to do with her!  I hope to post a blog soon about my experiences as a first time mom during the first year. I have so much to share about how God has blessed our family beyond belief! I can't wait to share!
