~Emma took her first unassisted steps Monday evening. When she walks by herself she puts her arms out - sort of like a penguin! She only tries a couple times a day - other times, she wants to you to hold on to her finger.
~She also had her first dentist appointment today. Many people thought it was the strangest thing I was taking Emma to the dentist so early. But, babies are suppose to go to the dentist 6 months after their first tooth or by one year of age! So, I took Emma and her two teeth to the dentist today. Of course, her teeth are perfect (they are just months old) and her gums looked great too. The dentist emphasized limited sweets and juices. People think I am crazy when I don't let Emma have juice. But, as the dentist said they are really bad for babies teeth. Sort of "Duh" thing - but if I had a quarter for every person who thought I was mean because Emma can't have sweets, I would be a rich woman! And a sidenote on taking your 1yr old to the dentist - the assistant told me the earlier you get your toddler into the dentist the earlier they can see problems that might occur. Also, it helps children get use to going to the dentist! So, ladies, book those dentist appointments!!!
~Emma's birthday party is Sunday! She is having an Elmo themed birthday celebration. I will post pictures on FB and here of all the fun!
~Last, but not least, Hai is graduating next Saturday! Perservance has been the name of the game for him. Emma and I are so proud of Hai!
