No help needed.

The aftermath of Emma feeding herself dinner!
Emma is blossoming in her independence (much to my dismay)! She has started trying to feed herself. She does well - most of the time. She normally isn't quite as messy as the picture above (I kind of let her have a go with the noodles!). Lately, she has been a real fussy eater. She refuses to eat most meat and is growing more and more picky about her veggies. If it were up to Emma all meals would consist of grits, pancakes and yogurt. But, I've found that if I let her try to feed herself she will at least TRY whatever I give her. I think she enjoys the "game" of playing with the fork. The other day she ate a veggie burger with her fork :)

With her growing independence, Emma is also wanting to do more walking. She isn't a fan of being carried around. She wants to walk...no scratch that...run everywhere. Of the mornings, she will get her coat and shoes on then walk to the door and try to reach for the handle!

All of this is just a reminder - time surely speeds up when a child is brought into your life.
