This week Emma will turn 20 months old! Can you believe it?!?! It is so cool to see her personality take shape!
| She has learned to pray before her meals. I say the prayer and then she will say "Ah-mean." |
| She loves art projects - be it painting, coloring, or drawing. She loves it all. When she wants to color she will like "I wanna lor." |
She is the silliest girl I know! You can be having the most craptastic day and she will do something funny to entertain you. The other day she wasn't listening very well so I put her in time out. She sat in timeout for a few seconds crying then she looks over at me and starts saying, "Help, Help, Help!" I couldn't not laugh!
While I was getting ready the other day, Emma came into my bathroom with this hat on and said "Cheese" - waiting for a picture (see picture above). I guess she knows I am indeed a sucker for pictures :) |
| Emma has such an imagination. Anything she sees me do she will copy - maybe not at that time but will do it later. She loves to "talk" on her cell phone, cook food in her kitchen, and take care of her baby dolls or teddies. She even likes to help me with the laundry. She will help put the clothes from the washer into the dryer. One could only hope she keeps this up as she gets older. |
Her vocabulary is getting bigger and bigger everyday. She does very well letting me know what she wants. She will say "I wanna ." When I am doing something she doesn't like she will say, "HEY!!! Stop!" Getting that sassy early on! She is also starting to identify animals and their sounds. There is a big cow on the ice cream isle of our local Target. When we go down that isle she will shout, "Moooooo." Yesterday, we went into a shop at the mall. They had a wooden owl. She saw it and screamed "Hooot, Hoooot" the entire time we were in the store! Very funny.
On a very sweet note when she wants a hug she will come up to me with her arms open and say "HUG!" Then, when she gives kisses she will say "Muah!"

| Her favorite activities, at 20 months, include going her kiddy pool (not a huge fan of the regular pool), visiting her grandparents, going for walks and playtime at the park, talking to that annoying dog at Old Navy, and of course watching her favorite shows. She continues to enjoy Yo Gabba Gabba and Sesame Street. But lately she has taken a liking to Blues Clues...she calls him BOO! ;) |
