The tears!

Emma found a new place to enjoy her bottle!

At our last doctors visit, the peditrican told me around age one babies take on a totally different attitude and believe "You are just in THEIR world." We are so fortunate Emma is a sweet baby with a fabulous personality. But, she is a BABY and she is starting to get into things - or should I say everything!

She loves to grab my cellphone and play with it. She has a special fondness for banging on the laptop. She loves to pull cords. Just the "regular" baby stuff ;) Of course, we have always told her not to do these things but she really never understood. She would just laugh and keep doing it. Well, Thursday night I told her "no" when she was grabbing at my cellphone on the couch. She lowered her head then the biggest FROWN appeared on her face. Then, she started crying! Immeditaly, I TEARED UP! My sweet baby girl...I made cry! I told my mom the next day she just might be the most rotten kid EVER if I can't get over her tearing up and snubbing when I tell her "No!"

Much worse, of course, would be a spoiled and disobeying child. So, I must force myself to look past the snubbing and crying.
