17 months!

I'm a little behind on the blog updates. Emma turned 17 months last Tuesday. Everyday it seems like to learns new words. This weekend I pointed to Hai's head and said "bald." She looked at me then turned and did the same thing! It was priceless.

Emma's new favorite thing is to put diapers on and change diapers of her stuffed animals! Sometimes, she will even "read" to them.

Enjoying a cookie! She goes to tke kitchen and points to what she wants and yells "THISSSS!" Everything in the kitchen is apparently "THISSSS." I never realized we said that word so much but then I realized that everytime we ask her if she wants something we will say "This?" Time to be specific.

Emma and I went out for breakfast on Saturday. She was her normal silly self! She will look around for people to talk to or entertain. There was a guy behind her that she found to show all her tricks :0)

Emma has started doing a lot of pretend play. My parents got her this doctor kit. She really likes it! But just don't try to pretend you are the doctor - she won't have it. She doesn't like the real doctor or the pretend doctor.

Playing with bubbles is one of her favorite activities. Interestingly enough, she also likes the tv show "Bubble Guppies." She will grab the channel and say, "Bub-ble."

Hai and I are considering signing Emma up for a intro dance course in the fall. They cover the very basics of ballet and tap - just to get their interest and get them started. Emma LOVES to dance. When we play music she dances all around the room. In the car if a song comes on she likes I will look back and see her head just a bobbing to the music :) In the picture above, Hai is trying to show Emma some ballet moves.
