Funny & Sweet Girl

Being home this last week and half for Spring Break has really given me to opportunity to sit back and watch her in action. This past week and a half has been just perfect for Emma and I. We had a good mix of inside play, outside play, activities and chill time.

I have enjoyed seeing Emma's personality shine. It seems like everyday she learns a new word. Today, it was "bird" - which she calls "buh-er." Recently, she's been saying "happy," "dance" "banana" (which she calls a-nana) "See me" and "my baby." I always hug Emma and say, "my baby." Now she gets her teddy bear and says, "My baby." It is the most adorable thing ever!

When I look at Emma I am reminded of how much God has blessed me.

Here are some recent pictures of Emma being Emma :)

Hai tried to teach Emma how to blow her yogurt bites across the table. I know, we teach our daughter all the important life skills. She couldn't quite get the blowing part down...but she did get a good amount of spit on the table :)

Emma LOVED Easter. In particular, she loved the Easter Egg Hunts. She has the eggs in her playroom and still plays with them. However, she is sorely disappointed each time she opens one and there isn't a toy in it! She grabs half of the egg and puts it to her eye like she is looking really hard to something in the egg!

While on break, we visited Discovery Place Kids. Emma loved, loved, loved the water table! Somehow, she was the only kid who ended up absolutely drenched from head to toe....despite the fact she had an apron on!

Also while on break, we visited the Carolina Raptor Center. Emma loved seeing all the birds. I highly recommend visiting if you are looking for something to do for a couple hours one day. The center is mostly shaded so it protects you from getting too hot. They have rehabilitated owls, vultures, and eagles.
I took the Jeep Stroller because I expected the paths to be kind of rocky (which they were). But, I didn't think about the fact our stroller has a horn on it. Emma was constantly wanting to honk her horn at the birds. Luckily, there is an off switch.
