I have a couple of great pieces of news to share with you!

• I have a JOB for the fall!!! Woohoo! The principal contacted me a couple weeks ago to tell me she was going to put in to offer me a contract but I didn't want to celebrate until the contract was actually in the works! Friday she called to let me know they are working on the contract. I am soooo excited to get this position at this school. It is a very small private school in Charlotte - by small I mean one class per grade (with the exception of one grade level). I will be a Learning Support Teacher - working with EC students. Also, in this role I will be responsible for Title 1 and ESL testing. With the experience of my masters internship (in Title 1) and with my coaching in SIOP I feel God has truly put this position in my path for a reason. After the interview I really had a great feeling and knew this was the job for me! It will definitely be a change going from public to private...and going back as a teacher and being a mom...but I look forward to everything this job offers!
• We have a sitter! We decided against Primrose for this fall. It just doesn't seem worth putting the money given that there is no true educational value right now for Emma. When she gets a bit older we will definitely look back at Primrose. In the meantime, we have landed a gem. She will only be watching Emma and another child in the fall...she seems super sweet! I really like the idea of having someone watch Emma as opposed to a daycare so Emma can hopefully avoid germs and maybe get a little more TLC.
