6 month checkup

Her new favorite is balls! She things it is such a hoot when they bounce!
Much happier girl with her amber teething necklace. Mommies with teething babies - definitely check out amber necklaces. Hai thinks they for sure have crack in them, but the doc approves, and so do I!

Emma had her 6 month checkup yesterday! She was as healthy as can :) Woohoo.

~Weight: 19.3 lbs!

~Height: 28 inches

~She is in the 98th percentile for height. The doctor said out of 100 girls she would be taller than all be two...and more beautiful than all of them. We have a great doctor, right?

~Emma is babbling away. She talks to everything - her toys, books, the fan we put in the back of the car to keep her cool, my purse, you name she babbles to it!

~She is not yet crawling...but she does scoot. She will scoot where ever she needs to go she just won't pick her belly up :)

~She is eating stage 2 foods. So far she is not a very picky eater. If she doesn't like something on the first try usually she will eat it on the second try. She loves prunes :/ Can you believe it? Yuck, right?

~She is already developing such a funny sense of humor. She will look at the dogs and just laugh - especially when Max chases the ball. She thinks that is just the funiest thing. Also, if Hai or I take her pacifer and pretend it's ours she will laugh and then promptly take it from us.

~She loves music. She will listen to it anytime and loves for us to make crazies out of ourselves singing to her.

~During the week, I take her to a Baby and Me class at the library. We sing songs, listen to the a story, and dance little jigs. She loves it! Hai asked me the other day if I was going to remember all the books I was reading her. I told him probably not and I doubt she would either. Good thing.

~She never meets a stranger. In fact, she sort of gives everybody this look when they pass us by when we are out like "Aren't you going to talk to me? Don't you see me?"

Upcoming events:

~Sunday we are having Emma's 6 month photos taken by Ericka Somers. She did a fantastic job last time so I am so excited to see what these turn out like. I highly recommend her if you are thinking about getting any pictures taken at all! When people say they take a million photos of their baby they probably don't really mean it...but we do :)

~Emma's first 4th of July out of utero...hehe. Last year, I remember being so sick at the Harrisburg parade. This year, I hope we can enjoy all of the festivities our lovely little city has to offer given the heat lets us.

~July 25th we are having Emma dedicated at church! We are super excited about this important step in our life as a family. Please be in prayer for us as we continue to mature as a family. :)
