We are officially full term this week coming in at 37 weeks! Woohoo! Not too much longer - even though time seems to drag now!Even though a baby is considered full term at 37 weeks there is still a lot of benefit to being in utero a little longer. Week 37 brings lots of good stuff still:
- She continues to practice for life on the outside - breathing, sucking, sleeping, gazing, and peeing :)
- Babies vary in size at this point but most are between 19 and 20 inches, weighing in around 6lbs.
- Emma's lungs are fully mature - a great thing if she is born before 40 weeks.
I don't have a doctor's appointment this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We go again next Monday. I'm hoping they will check for progress and we can see how much longer we have to anticipate our arrival!
