She is coming out right?

I have heard a lot of women say "Oh my baby is transverse" or "My baby is breech." My doctors hadn't mentioned Emma's position at all. So, today that was on the to-do list: Ask the dr. is she coming out? I am so excited to report she is head down with her little butt and feet in my ribs. The nurse mentioned she will likely start to "engage" or drop around 37 weeks. Translation: She is working her way out!

Emma is starting to show a lot of personality - especially at the doctor's office. For the last couple of visits she has made her self known when the nurse does the heartbeat check. Emma squirms, rolls, and kicks the entire time. I felt bad today because a student nurse was trying to get her heartbeat and Emma wouldn't cooperate. Emma kept kicking the entire time (very noticeable on my stomach). The nurse said Emma is not going to like the heartbeat monitors in labor and delivery.

It is nice to get to hear Emma. I feel her all the time but hearing the heartbeat is very special. The last week has been especially difficult. Being at home is really taxing. I've also felt crappy. I feel bad complaining because I've had such great pregnancy thus far. To get to the end and have sickness isn't that bad. It could have been the entire pregnancy! Anywho, the doctor thinks I have vertigo - which is causing the nausea and dizziness. He gave me some medicine (completely OK for the baby) and suggested things should get back to normal after Emma is born.

We are now on weekly appointments! So excited...let the countdown begin :)
