Emma's 1st week and 1st Christmas

Early this morning I was up with Emma feeding her. As I looked at the clock, I thought how far we had come on just one week. A week ago today Emma was in the NICU and we weren't sure what was wrong. But after many answered prayers Emma came back strong and is doing better than ever now. Hai and I are so fortunate to have great family and friends who prayed very hard for Emma. Something that started off potentially something quite serious ended up being something simple. I know the only reason that happened is because God answered prayers. Everyday I think how blessed we are and how super happy I am to be a mom! Emma is a really great baby - she isn't fussy at all (knock on wood). She only cries when she is hungry or has a soiled diaper. What more could you ask for!?!?
I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas!
Daddy putting Emma in the car to go to her first doctor appointment! Putting the carseat in is fine but taking it OUT...that' another story :)

I looooove my baby! Dr. Higgins said she was doing very well! She commented on how alert she was - she said Emma has the alertness of a 1 month old. And they say drinking Coke while pregnant is a bad thing!!! Haha.

I love the expression on her face in this picture. It's as if to say "Excuuuuse me...can someone please get me out of here!"

Playing in her play-yard. She still looks cute in just a white tee and cap...if I do say so myself :)

Emma and Hai on Christmas. She slept through most of Christmas.
